Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie, born November 24, 1981, is an American political commentator. She was a former political candidate and an anchor on television at MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former host of The Hill's Rising alongside Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball have announced in the month of May that they'd leave the show to begin their own venture, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. She has been featured on network programs such as CNN, Fox News, Fox News, CNBC, Fox News, and Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball got married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball attributes her new interest in politics partly to her experiences being a mother in the 2008 presidential primaries. Additionally, she also was a witness to the US presidency election during her time working in Jordan. She observed how it affected the people in that country and gained an appreciation for US politics' global impact. She was a Senior Fellow with the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 1st congressional District in 2010. She lost to Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. From June 2012 to July 2015, she hosted The Cycle, an MSNBC program The Cycle. She was co-hosting The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 through July 2015.
