Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political advisor who served as the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 222. As a member in the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015; and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she began working on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat for the U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. From 2005 until the year 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and as regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communications and was the press secretary of President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. Her appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House, on May 30th, 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to White House in 2015 to become the communications director. She was with the Obama administration until its end.
